About Us

What is H-LSAMP?

Houston-Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation.

The primary goal of the Houston LSAMP, propelled by a partnership among the National Science Foundation, Texas Southern University, Texas State University, and the University of Houston (Downtown, Central, and Clear Lake), is to significantly increase the number of traditionally underrepresented and minority students earning baccalaureate degrees each year in STEM and to prepare these students for graduate programs and careers in science and engineering.
